About the “Vocal Minority”
At the May 10th shareholder meeting, Tilton defended his $40 million pay and scoffed at the statement by 767 Captain Margaret Freeman, "Employee morale is at an all-time low... Your employees are no longer behind you." She and other employees asked if Tilton had informed the UAL BOD about the serious crisis with employee morale and if management had made plans to address the problems with leaving passengers stranded around the world and the mismanagement decisions to head into a summer with minimum staffing.
Tilton dismissed any statement about morale or anger by stating that those speaking out at the meeting and picketing outside were merely a "vocal minority."
In other words, if you didn't show up at the event, you're perfectly happy with your quality of work life, executive pay, and a Contract that reflects the sacrifices of bankruptcy.
Does that describe you, or are you also a member of the Vocal Minority?
